Terracolor Terracolor 6606A Blue Cloud From  £16.81

This is my current favourite glaze. It’s glossy and true to the picture. Good coverage, doesn’t seem to run but changes it’s colour variation with sight thickness differences. Thins on rims to a brown, and the variations are beautiful.

Like most of the Terracolour glazes I’ve purchased blue cloud doesn’t look much like the illustration. But it is a beauty nonetheless. Fires to a glossy brown with cloud blue where it overlaps. I fired to cone 6 without a hold/soak. Caution is required around the base of your pieces. Blues can be notorious for running and I made the mistake of leaving just a couple of millimetres on two bowls. Both ruined and repairs to kiln shelf required. It’s a shame because the glaze was otherwise perfect on the bowls.

A very nice glaze. It is true to the picture example shown. It can run if applied too thickly though! I will return to this glazd.

Had high hopes with this glaze and bought 10 kilos. The whole batch has become sandy with a heavy thick grainy texture, that won’t pass through a sieve or mix back in. The sand settles very quickly making the glaze almost impossible to use.
Pretty disappointed after a big investment- the end result is nothing like the image.
