Welte effect glazes KGE
This group of glazes is characterized by the inconsistent appearance of the individual glaze and also by decorative liveliness. Effects can mean uneven surfaces, clouding, staining, precipitation /crystallization, chandelier or metallic effects. They are created by the reactivity of different raw materials in the fire and show in this way the unique character of real ceramics. Additional effects can also be achieved by combining different glazes one above the other.
This Glaze should be fired between 1020°C - 1080°C for best results. As with all glazes we recommend a test firing first to check for colour, fit and stability. Suitable for hand painting, spray painting ,dipping and pouring onto ceramic pieces.
