Didn’t know how well this would work but have been very impressed. Stops the need for small bits of clay to secure when trimming - can trim directly on this on the wheel and when damp amazingly holds a bat firmly with no undulating for throwing. For £14 it have saved me time effort and lots of small bits of clay! Delighted.
I used to stick my ceramics tile bats with clay at the wheel head. I'm using the "batmate" now, it works perfect.
I bought the 12" batmate some time ago, works well too. The blue colour comes out if I rins it, but it isn't a problem for me.
