9107 Matt White

BOTZ earthenware glazes are available ready to use in 200ml jars. Stir the glaze thoroughly and apply 1 – 2 thin coats. The glaze soon dries allowing the pots to be lifted into the kiln. For best results allow the glaze to dry for a day before firing.

Results will vary depending on thickness of glaze, clay applied, shape of vessel and final firing temperature.

The ideal firing temperature is around 1040°C with a 30 minute soak.

Glaze finish: Matt

  • Can be fired up to 1100°C

Excellent.
This is a lovely white, creamy textured glaze that has just the tiniest touch of iridescence.
I painted on three layers, but thinned the glaze slightly half way through the tub. It flattened itself out in the firing beautifully. I fired it to 1040 and gave it a 30 min soak.
I am very pleased with the finish and will use it again as it is very well behaved.

Very smooth white matt
Very smooth satin finish white matt. Covers well. Like this glaze very much.
