9224 Aventurine BOTZ earthenware glazes are available ready to use in 200ml jars. Stir the glaze thoroughly and apply 2 – 3 coats. The glaze soon dries allowing the pots to be lifted into the kiln. For best results allow the glaze to dry for a day before firing.

Have used this quite a few times always with very pleasing results. 3 coats gives a very deep, dark, even copper colour; 2 coats gives more variation, with more amber notes, as in the picture. I have been experimenting with a transparent under glaze which is giving a wonderful mix of caramel colours. Overall, very happy with this glaze.

Very nice glaze
I applied two coats to mature bisque with clear glaze over. Very pleased with the results.Darker than expected but,I think better for the pieces involved on grogged clay.Lovely effect.
