Flecked Stoneware Many potters want to achieve the attractive, speckled effect that reduction firings give to clay, but this is not usually possible in an electric kiln. Some flecked clays have been introduced in the past, however, we believe this is the most successful one yet. ES90 Flecked Stoneware, when fired in an electric kiln, gives the attractive, speckled effect of a reduction firing. Based on our ES80 reduction body, this clay performs well and is ideal for the production of domestic tableware.

Lovely clay
Really nice to throw with - improved my throwing capabilities! Have been able to throw much bigger forms. Turns well and did not warp on firing. Worked differently with my usual glazes - more interesting results.

Excellent clay body. Interesting results with the fleck, can cause pinholes in some glazes I've tried. I use successfully for throwing. Really lovely with the right glaze.
