Ceramic Bead Firing Stand Medium

*Spare Bars Sold Separately*

This metal bead firing stand, fires up to 1100ºC and comes with 6 metal horizontal bars.
155mm long, 110mm high & 60mm wide approx. Bars are 200mm long approx.

(Clay beads not included)

These stands are designed to fire BEADS, not PENDANTS.

If you fire Pendants on these stands, the Pendants are too heavy for the bars and the bars will become bent out of shape during the firing process.

Excellent, robust and holds rods where you place them due to 'notches' that are well placed to use in a range of spacing and heights to suit your project..
Also has a very useful bar accross the top which enables removal from kiln easily with tongs at a distance if for example you are using it to tranfer to bed of sawdust etc when using raku technique...

Able to fit a good number of beads and buttons on this stand. Its strong and well made. It has a bit of weight which I think will prevent it from tipping over easily.. I like the way in which the slots are designed to stop the rods moving sideways and holding them in place.. Also the bar accross the top facilitates easier placing and removal from our top loading kiln.

Hi there I am also interested in the spare bars for the bead firing stand as I wish to use my high firing glazes on the beads. If I order these alongside the main firing stand is there any difference with the two sets as I dont want to mix them up.

Hi, This will work for pendants provided you are not making them too heavy or loading the bars with too many. The higher you fire your work the more the bars will bend so bear that in mind if firing above 1220°C Hope this helps!

Does this bead stand work for buttons? There is mention of pendants being too heavy in the description, what maximum weight is recommended?

Yes buttons would work as well, the maximum weight per rod would be around 250grams.
