Hi, my decorating slip recipe asks for Iron Oxide.... different percentage to get different colour. I thought then there is only 1 Iron Oxide material.. but you have it it different colours.. can you explain? thx
Respuestas de Scarva:
There are 3 main Iron Oxides, black, red and yellow, they will give different colour results depending on the percentage added to your slip, black will give brown to black tones, red will give brown or in small percentages light brown and honey, yellow will give honey. This is a broad description but should give you a fair idea about what can be achieved.
