Scarva Stoneware (B17C Casting Slip) From  £20.67

Obviously for transport costs etc this a pretty thick slip. With 80ml water and a drop of sodium silicate it is pouring beautifully. The clay itself is very workable once released/leather dry from mould and good surface finish. It burnishes well too. I'll be buying again!

Like all other reviews the clay is too thick. I just cut the bottom of the container off and then holding over a bucket, I opened the lid and it came out effortlessly leaving no wastage. It needs a bit of water and then a really good mix but then it’s lovely to use. I am firing it now so I don’t know how it takes glaze and underglaze.

As with the majority of reviewers on this product I was disappointed with how thick it was on arrival, however after emptying the entire bottle into a bucket and giving it a mix for about 10 minutes it was good to use. This is of course a bit labour intensive and wasteful and due to it being so thick not all of it came out of the bottle and completely caked the bucket!

This product comes way too thick to use. Some reviews have offered solutions but it would require many who are just starting to spend 3x more to get the materials that these reviews are offering will remedy the issues. Ultimately this is a bad product for beginners and I won't be buying again unfortunately.

This slip is way too thick - it's not possible to pour! Expected it to be usable straight away, so rather disappointed. There needs to be more info on the packaging or upon purchasing this product since it gives the impression it is ready for use straight away when it isn't.

Unfortunately the slip was too thick. When I used it with a mug mould it didn't go fully into the handle so wasn't usable.
