We recommend bisque firing to 1000°C for all clay bodies this is the ideal temperature as the body is porous enough to glaze easily, you can bisque fire as high as you like however be aware the higher you fire the less porous the body will become even at 1100°C you will notice the body is less porous and more difficult to glaze.

I love this ES60 for hand building and need a similar clay body in white, can you tell me the closest one in the range that will give a white finish? I fire to cone 6.

Does es60 need to be wedged before doing slab building for bonsai pots.or can it be used straight from the bag.

What temp does this vitrify at please? Currently firing it to 1280°c but hoping I can try some lower stoneware temps around cone 5.

This clay should begin to vitrify around 1220oC. Hope this helps.
