Will the speckles show up through all glaze finishes, gloss, satin and matt?
Réponses de Scarva:
|
Hi,
It really depends entirely on the glaze, an iron reactive glaze or a transparent the speck will show however the more you increase the opacity of a glaze the less likely it will be that you see the speck through it.
Hope this helps

Hello there, Do you have any photos showing this clay when fired In oxidation? I understand that the flecks might not show through all glazes but do you have any examples where this effect has been achieved successfully?
Thank you.

can this clay be fired at 1180C - 1185C or it must be fired at minimum of 1220?
Réponses de Scarva:
|
Hi,
This clay won't be vitirifed at such a low temperature, you may experience issues with glaze fit and porosity. Ideally it needs to be fired higher.
Hope this helps
