As with most of the Textured Spectrum glazes frpm the same range this glaze reacts well to texture, temperature and clay body. If applied over a very smooth surface and fired to 1170 you get a pastel blue glaze with some light effects running through it, however, the more textural the work and the higher the temp the more the glaze runs away from high points to reveal the clay body underneath. Have tried this over Scarva Nano Black Porcelain vessel with subtle texture applied 2 coats and fired to 1220 with a 15 min soak and got a black vessel with electric blue rivulets running down it which followed the texture beautifully. I would recomend this and many others from the range but its well worth experimenting with application, clay body and firing temp to see what works for you. You can also get some amazing but somewhat unpredictable results by layering and mixing glazes from the same range

I us e this a lot. It covers well, does not run, and is a very pleasing blue which breaks into grey/ silver streaks especially over texture. I use it at1200 degrees c. But have successfully used it higher. I have never had green from it.

When I have used this glaze on stoneware, firing to 1200 I have found it comes out brownish with blue patches, nice, but nothing like the sample at all. It seems to be bluer the in the thicker areas, so I may try applying another coat.
