Spectrum 1183 Textured Dark Cloud From  £19.89

This glaze looks amazing with real depth of colour and effects when fired to 1170-1180. There is a good blance between clear areas where the colour of the clay body is revealed, areas of light grey opacity and streaks of very dark clear glaze. The higher you move up the temperature range the more dark clear areas appear and the more of the clay body colour is revealed. Over 1210 you do tend to end up with just a clear dark blue glaze revealing areas of the clay body which is less interesting than the amazing effects you get at the lower temps.

This glaze is absolutely gorgeous - very glossy and a brilliant depth of colour. It looks almost polaroid-ish in its colour. Big thumbs up.

Love this glaze...bell doesn't do it justice at all. Great variety of colour on textured surfaces.
