Terracolor 653 Blue Opal From  £16.71

I really enjoy the colour swirls of blue with this glaze. you never quite know how the colour will pool and move but its always beautiful. It does, like most of the terracolor glazes, need to be applied thickly with enough room at the base to avoid sticking to your kiln shelf and when you do the results are great. i fire at 1250 on white stoneware and get the results seen in the first vase

I like this glaze a lot. Though I do find that in order to experience its full glory, one does need to apply it quite thickly - (just protect those kiln shelves, as it can run a bit!). Its one of my favourites at the moment, as I just love the sunbursts of blue that can be achieved. I fire to 1250 using a buff Stoneware body.

Fired to 1250 but very different results from the other reviewer – still coming out matt. Would love to see that shine!
