Mud sponges are simply the best! I had always favoured natural sponges until my American potter friend gave me one of these. They are silky smooth. Clay loves them. They are wonderful for throwing and are super absorbent. If there were other words of praise I could find to lavish on a little sponge, paeons would flow from my mouth forever! You have to have two of these - your friend is certain to steal one away!

Well shaped and very robust. Perhaps not as good for general clean up of a work area, but as a crafting tool which I think is its intended purpose, this is excellent! Great for finishing pots, lips, etc. Well worth the cost!

The quality of the sponge is amazing, really! it is very compact, flexible, with a good retention of water. Perfect for throwing and for smoothing pieces!

Having used hydra sponges for a long time, this has taken a bit of getting used to. It works better with coa**er clays and is becoming invaluable in its own right. Wonderful colours.
