The UK's No.1 Pottery Supplier

Japanese Inspired & Re-imagined As the name implies, we think this ceramic trim tool does it all. Since his first visit to Japan in the 80′s, Michael has spent years altering and remaking his own Japanese style trimming tools to suit his various needs. These efforts have all combined into the elegant versatile pottery tool you see here. The sharpened more familiar spade shape provides an excellent precise cutting edge, especial for working the details around the foot of tea bowls, bowls and plates. The curl, provides both a broad surface for smoothing and a tight shape for detail trimming. We hope you enjoy discovering all the possibilities this tool provides.

Keeping your metal tools clean is important. To keep your tool in top condition we recommend wiping it clean with wax or oil.

Surprise tool.
Normally I make my own trimming tools and try a few ready made ones only to be disappointed. This one is something different, it works really well for the moment having a variety of curves getting into those little areas that are difficult to get to.Lets see how it stands up to the test of time

Possibly my favourite tool ever
If I could only have one tool, I think this would be it. It's a real pleasure to use and I can't see it ever wearing out. I dithered before buying it because it seemed expensive – but it's well worth it.

I bought one and the edge becomes blunt. How can I sharpen it? Thx

Hi, you can use a rotary tool with grinding bit or a fine file to put an edge back on this tool. Hope this helps!
