I absolutely love this glaze! Its very reliable, and the results have always been better than I could have hoped. On the buff Stoneware body that I predominantly use, it tends to come out a richer, redder russet with so many delightful speckles. I fire to 1250. I apply one thin coat only - more of a wash - and it always comes out of the kiln wonderfully smooth to the touch and very pleasing to the eye. If applied thicker, it tends to be whiter with very few speckles.

I've used this glaze a few times now on craft crank and white stoneware. Where it is thin it looks just like the image above, rust orange especially on raised detail. On the parts of my sculptures where they got a double dip or the glaze pooled inside the glaze is a soft creamy white.

I love this glaze. I used it on bisque fired, standard buff clay that I painted iron oxide on before glazing. It came out beautifully, so cuffed with it. The patterns from the oxide have come through really well.

My only concern is that I used it on some coffee mugs, after using a few times they have crazed quite a lot. Not sure if that is down to me or the glaze.

I've used it with different clays, and it works just amazing. Produces a very nice rusty surface. However, it changes the color of the stains a lot.

I had high hopes for this glaze but unfortunately was disappointed, fired to 1250 deg on three different clay bodies including standard buff ht with plenty of iron in and the results were the same on all three, an off white translucent (not very atractive) glaze, tried again on the same three plus black stone smooth and raised it to 1270 the results were the same, not one for my collection I’m afraid.
