I bought this to hang porcelain rings on. I fired to 1240 and it's absolutely fine. The rods have curved very slightly but I only put 3 or 4 rings on each rod and I have re used them 3 times so far.

I fired to 1100 and the stand sent black sooty deposits all over my kiln. It is a terrible mess; is this permanent damage or not?
