Scarva Red Terracotta (Powdered Clay) From  £17.90

I purchased this product to add to some original traditional mud/clay plaster that I have slavaged from a Georgian property that I am restoring. The plaster had deteriorated and come away from the walls and was in need of remixing and reapplying. The clay granules were perfect for adding the stickiness and body the original mix had lost. I now have a fine clay mud base above the main Palladian arch on the grand staircase. I will probably be ordering a fine porcelain for the final coat. All a bit experimental but seems to have worked out well.

This powdered clay was mixed with sand and straw to make an insulating layer.It mixes easily and sticks to the previous layer really well.There is slight shrinkage when it dries,but this is not a problem.
It seems like a really good clay and a nice colour too.

From start to finish, I have had no issue with Scarva. Website was very easy to navigate, the price was great and the product excellent. I will purchase from this site again and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
