Spectrum 1159 Green Stone From  £19.89

This is a really nice glaze and surprisingly, the sample shown is pretty accurate...maybe the colour is a little less "mint" in "real life", but still a really nice glaze with a semi matte finish.

A beautiful glaze with good opacity, i have found that the recommend firing range is too high and this glaze easily runs off vertical surfaces onto the kiln shelf.
Im on my third test at 1140c to try to halt the runs.

Such a beautiful colour. Soft mint green with other shades. However it ran onto the kiln shelf and stuck! (Fired at 1220°c). Trying to find a way to use it so it doesn't do that because it is such a lovely colour.

The colour of this glaze is really beautiful but both of my pieces of work were failed at glazing temperature 1200c
The problem is that it has high flux and it runs off the pots all over the kiln shelf. It also forms drips on other overhanging edges.
It is more suited to flat surfaces only.
I may experiment with firing at 1150c or try using at a earthenware temperature so as not to waste it. Disappointed as I lost a big clock and a vase.

I have found this glaze to be a quite drippy, so best applied thinly. For me it has come out much more of a limey brownish green, quite nice but not at all like this sample.

I was looking forward to using this glaze. I followed the instructions to the letter and the result was a very un-inspiring pastel green glaze with no yellows to be seen.
