This glaze is superb - one I keep returning to. And one that cannot be faulted. I use it over a buff Stoneware, and generally fire to 1250. Over the past few years I have experimented with thin applications and slightly thicker ones. So far, I cannot quite decide which I like the best! The thicker the application the more likelihood of runs, but its worth the risk, (just protect those kiln shelves!) as the glaze sparkles with life; rivulets of blue and variegated greens make the results quite wondrous.
My favourite glaze at the moment, beautiful colour and perfect coverage every time. Can run a bit when fired at 1240°C
Terracolor Powder Stoneware Glazes are a more cost effective and faster approach to glazing a larger volume of pots. Simply mix the powder with water and pass through a sieve to create a dipping glaze. All Terracolor glazes are Lead Free.
