No this will not work, it has to be fired in a kiln on something ceramic.

LM14 Gold Lustre. I propose to apply the lustre to white glazed porcelain and then fire it to 775 degrees C as prescribed.
Is it necessary to thin the lustre or apply it as supplied?

Yes this will work, lustres are applied onto fired ware so the glaze underneath will not matter.

Hi,
Lustre should be fired to around 750-780°C. I would suggest firing at about 150°C per hour, no need for a soak at the final temperature. There shouldn't be any problems firing decals with lustres, I would test first to make sure there isn't going to be any strange reaction in the kiln.

You can use lustre on top of any finished glazed ware, it is a third firing normally to around 780oC.

Hi,
I used your Bright Gold Lustre over Parianware, fired at 775 C, but final result was a satin effect. Should I fire them at a lower temperature to get the shine on?

Hi, this needs to be applied to glazed ware, if your Parian hasn't been glazed the result will be satin. The glossy surface comes from the glaze beneath. Hope this helps!

No this would not work all our products have to be fired in a pottery kiln to achieve the result in the images.

Morning!I have applied my gold lustre ,but I did use a little lustre thinner.The result was purple rather than gold.My question is,can I reapply on top of the lustre already fired to produce the desired result or would this not work?Thankyou fir this helpful website

Hi, you can try and reapply, it won't do any harm. Gold lustre should not be thinned as it won't fire to the desired colour. Hope this helps!

There are 8% gold solids in our gold lustre. The Self burnish gold contains the same amount however it turns out satin/burnish effect where the normal gold lustre is glossy.

That will depend on what temperature your glass melts at, lustre has a a firing range of around 800°C, this is usually the temperature some glass begins to slump at.
