Nano Colours are manufactured to a very fine particle size; this has many advantages. Nano Colours disperse more readily throughout a glaze or slip resulting in more uniform and defect free surfaces. During the firing process Nano Colours fuse more vigorously creating purity, intensity and brilliance. Nano Colours are stronger therefore less percentage is needed to create vivid colours making them extremely cost effective. Due to the fine particle size Nano Colours are ideal for screen-printing applications. • 62 Vivid Colours • Cost Effective • High Firing • Lead Free • All colours are intermixable • Maximum Firing Temperature 1260°C • Add approximately 8% to make opaque glaze Please be aware that if you intend to use stains to make underglazes you must add underglaze flux

Stoneware Glaze
We recommend our GZ2136 as a suitable base transparent for this stain. This high-calcium glaze has been developed to produce the best colour response in pink, purple and mauve stains.

Nice.
I use this colour a lot. I mix with a little water and glaze medium and then brush on followed by a clear glaze over the top. Brilliant. I love Scarva Nano Stains.

Can this be used as underglaze? Wonder if Mason is better for underglaze?
gail from United Kingdom
Yes both the Nano Colours and Mason colours are excellent to turn into underglazes simply mix some underglaze flux and they will give excellent colours.

Has anyone used this and fired to 1550 without the colour burning out?
Rachel from United Kingdom
Sorry I am a little confused with the temperature, they can fire up to 1260oC depending on the base it is added to.
