Scarva Nano Colours NC009 Flameburst Ceramic Glaze & Body Stain
Nano Colours are manufactured to a very fine particle size; this has many advantages. Nano Colours disperse more readily throughout a glaze or slip resulting in more uniform and defect free surfaces. During the firing process Nano Colours fuse more vigorously creating purity, intensity and brilliance. Nano Colours are stronger therefore less percentage is needed to create vivid colours making them extremely cost effective. Due to the fine particle size Nano Colours are ideal for screen-printing applications.

very vibrant
I used the stain at 10% in a clear glaze fired at 1260, the colour was matt and very vibrant, amazing colour! it could have been used at maybe even 5%.

Hello, can Nano colour stains be mixed with your brush on glaze medium? Many thanks
Parker from United Kingdom
This is the colour in raw form if you wanted to turn it into a brushable underglaze you would first mix it with underglaze flux to create and underglaze powder then mix this with medium to create a brushable colour. If you just mix the stain with the medium there is a chance that the colour will not melt enough to adhere to your pot. Hope this helps.

Dear Scarva, can i use your Scarva Nano Colours in my Scarva Decorating Slips? I have white NDS032 to mix it with. If yes, what proportions would you recommend? and would it then also be compatible with my other Scarva Decorating Slip colours that I already have?
thank you!
Martina from Ireland
Yes mix in around 8% for most colours then pass through a fine mesh sieve. Yes you can use them with other slips.
