To make a dipping glaze just mix with water and pass through a fine mesh sieve. It is a zircon white.

Hi is GZ1946 food safe when fired to 1240 on stoneware ?
Thanks

Hi,
This glaze contains no materials deemed to be toxic, provided it is fired to temperature on a suitable body there should be no problem.
A caveat to that is no manufacturer can claim a glaze to be food safe, this term can't be applied to glaze in the raw, only to a fired final piece. The only way to reliably test if a piece is food safe is to have it tested by a ceramics testing lab such as Lucideon.
Hope this helps!

Fired at 1220 and crawled badly. What should the specific gravity be for this glaze?

I'm sorry we do not have specific gravity for any of our glazes.
