Scarva Nano Colours NPC007 Amber Parian Casting SlipFiring: 1220 - 1240°C Introducing our new range of Nano Parian Coloured casting slips. Parian is derived from Paros the Aegean Island famous for its beautiful white marble widely used for sculpture by the classical Greeks. Parian ware became very popular in the mid-nineteenth century and was manufactured by many notable Stoke-on-Trent potteries. Parian is a self-glazing body, extremely translucent and ideally suited for casting to produce figurines, dolls and light forms etc. We have used our range of Nano Colours to create this beautiful range of over 30 vivid coloured Parian casting slips.
Hi, can i use Botz 9102 Glossy transparent on this kind of material? and do I only fire it once and it will be like this color?
Thanks
Shuang from Denmark
9102 is an earthenware transparent. You could use it on this body however the clay may not be mature and the colour may not be as intense. However you could do a high bisque and low glaze which will mean the body is vitrified. The difficulty will be getting the low temperature glaze to adhere to the non porous body.
