Just about to order more of this after trying it out and loving it. Alone it's a satin finish grey/blue with dark brown edges where thinner, this is on buff clay fired to 1250. Over white it completely transforms and is a beautiful glossy deep blue. It does run and I thinned it to a 1:1 ratio where it's more stable but still runs just a little to give a lovely pooling effect of deeper blue. I didn't seive it and it's still lovely and smooth. I can't wait to use this more!
Almost had a meltdown (!) when first dipping this glaze, because after mixing and sieving and waiting a day, it still seemed to froth up and produce annoying bubbles every time the mixture was agitated, (even tried spraying the surface with alcoholic hand sanitiser - to no avail). However, even though the bubbles were still visible on the surface after dipping and drying (I did smooth things out a little with my finger before firing), ALL unevenness disappeared during firing, leaving an absolutely gorgeous, smokey-blue, matt finish with a wonderful texture and depth. No pinholing at all! I am extremely impressed with this and other glazes in the same range..! Will definitely be using this for a long time to come!
