Simply apply this glaze to regular bisque fired ware (normally this is 1000°C) then fire to stoneware I would recommend on the computerized controller around 1220°C with a 30 minute soak.

Are these glazes safe for eating off?

This is a difficult question to answer and leads to many other questions but in short;
If a glaze is food safe or not depends on several factors including the type of clay used, the firing temperature, the shape of the vessel, the thickness of glaze even the position of the vessel in the kiln can have an effect on the glaze.
Ideally a food safe test would be carried out by a reputable body like British Ceram. In the case of the Botz Earthenware glazes it is unlikely they would pass a food safe test as once fired the clay body will still be porous and the glazes will graze eventually due to different expansion rates, therefore bacteria can get into the cracks.
The most suitable combination for food safe ware is a smooth stoneware body like our ES5 fired with a glossy stoneware glaze, like Botz, Terracor, Nano etc would most likely pass a food safe test providing it was fired to the correct temperature in an electric kiln.
All glazes supplied on www.scarva.com are lead free.
