It says it fires to stoneware. We fire stoneware at 1245. Will it be okay at those temps?
Scarva Replies:

Yes that would be okay.

We fire bisque to 1047°C in our studio, cone 7 for glaze firing, would that work for this clay? Many thanks

For this particular terracotta clay ES75 yes it will withstand such a high temperature but it is important to note most terracotta clay bodies will not withstand being fired to high temperatures.

What kind of glazes are good with this clay e.g. a satin mat transparent type. Would it be best to use mid temp glazes or to bisque fire high to say 1150 and then to use an earthenware glaze

Hi there, we would agree with bisque firing high and using earthenware glazes yes.
