A natural brown stoneware from Moutiers en Puisaye, a famous potters clay, from the Burgundy region. Containing a higher than normal iron content, resulting in buff/pale brown in oxidation, brown/warm orange in reduction. A good medium grained, plastic, naturally occurring clay with excellent throwing and modelling characteristics.
Firing Temperature 1180°c - 1260°c

This clay was lovely to throw and held its form. Bisque firing produced a warm terracotta finish. But I would recommend no more than cone 5 for the final firing, as at cone 6, that clay began to lose shape and darken unevenly. Amaco SMUG underglazes faded out and Amaco PC glazes left an unpleasant darker rim where the glaze ended.
