Hi I wish to use Scarva NK01 crackle glaze which recommends glaze firing to 04- therefore what temperature do is Bisque please.
Respuestas de Scarva:
|
I would recommend bisque firing to 1000oC this would work best with your crackle glaze and give the most intense effect. The clay body will still be porous but because you are using a crackle glaze the vessel will not be functional anyway. Hope this helps.

I am looking a casting slip that looks like the parian porcelain white while the shape doesn’t warp. Just wondering if this is white comparing to parian enough if I use it with Matt translucent glaze? And if it warp like parian?
Respuestas de Scarva:
|
White earthenware would be an excellent alternative to parian while it will not fire just as white and the surface will be not as satin it will distort less during the firing.
