Yes this body is suitable for throwing it does contain alot of grogg so will feel a little more coarse than a regular throwing clay.

Here is a bisque schedule that may suit you:
60oC per hour - 300oC
100oC per hour - 900oC

Is the Ashraf Hanna raku clay good for hanbuilding large sculptural pieces. I used to use a great raku clay for handbuilding in Australia and am looking for a similar, forgiving handbuilding clay in the UK for my sculptural work.

can i put Terracolor 630A Bronze Matt on this clay body. The glaze says stoneware but I think this clay is in the firing range for it?

Hi, due to the high percentage of molochite in this body it is unlikely that the 630A glaze will work - I suspect it will craze badly. Hope this helps!

Hi there, they will craze a lot due to the body being heavily grogged. It would need very low expansion glazes. You could try our GZ2160 transparent, and colour it with stain. Hope this helps.
