AMACO V391 - Intense Yellow From £9.65
AMACO Velvet underglazes if left unglazed they have the appearance of velvet. They will intensify in colour when covered with a Clear Transparent or Gloss glaze.
The Velvets are very rich colours and can be used for an all over coverage. They fire true to colour when applied from the jar and may be intermixed to create a palette of hundreds of colours.
The colours may be brushed on greenware which is to be bisque fired before applying a covering glaze or on bisqueware, then a covering glaze applied. For opaque coverage by brushing, the consistency of the colour in the jar is correct.
Velvets have a wide firing range 1040°C - 1220°C, they are also Lead Free.

Was used to paint a ceramic egg yolk, believe it or not. Spot on colour-wise and I always love using these glazes

I don’t use this colour as it is but mix it with small amounts of other Amaco colours to give me my perfect yellow.

Hello :) Can I use these underglazes to colour porcelain clay pieces or do I need other colours for porcelain clay? I've only used these underglazes on stoneware clay so far.
