I have bought this glaze and I don't found the instructions to use... Can you tell me what proportion of water I should use for dipping? Thanks!

Simply mix approximately 700mls of water to 1kg of glaze, then pass through a fine mesh pottery sieve. Adjust to a thin ream consistency if necessary, your glaze is now ready for dipping, hope this helps.

can I use this as brush on with out 1072?
and how much medium does it require ?
Scarva Replies:

If you mix the powder with water it is only suitable for spraying or dipping. To make a brush on glaze mix approximately 700mls of RM1072 medium with 1kg of powdered glaze, pass through a sieve (100mesh) and it is ready to use.

Can we use it with underglaze? I mean I want to cover my underglaze figures with a matt transparent glaze. Do you think this one works?
Scarva Replies:
|
It will work however it will be cloudy as the transparent is matt and is not completely clear.

Do you have a recommended firing schedule for this glaze?
Also, can I use the glaze on any stoneware body, I have black and red stoneware?
Also, I want to add stains to the glaze, would this affect the glaze badly?
Thank you in advance 🙏🏽
Scarva Replies:

I would fire this glaze around 150oC per hour to 1200oC with a 30 minute soak.
Yes you can add stains to this base. Hope this helps.

What is this glaze like on ES90 please? Also over a white slip?
Scarva Replies:
|
Hi, unfortunately it's impossible for us to test every glaze on every clay body, this glaze should though show a subtle speckle on ES90, on a white slip it will look white. Hope this helps

Hi!
Could you tell me what the difference between the pot on the left and the one on the right on the same glaze? Also I'd like to know if it is OK to fire the stoneware glaze in the temperature higher than the top temp indicated(eg. firing at 1270c).
Thank you.
Scarva Replies:

One of the pots is the glaze fired on a speckled clay body. This is a Matt translucent glaze so yes you could fire it higher however the higher you fire the more glossy it will become.
